The following awards are presented on an annual basis at the IASB Convention during the Awards Program. 

  • If you are affiliated with an IASB Member, you are invited to consider nominating an individual for the John Palmer Award or the Dottie Walters Helping Hand Award - click here for more info (requires member login).

John Palmer Award – Selected by the Awards Committee in recognition of one who has shown exemplary service to the association and bureau industry.

Dottie Walters Helping Hand Award – Selected by the Awards Committee in recognition of one who has demonstrated exceptional willingness to assist others in the bureau industry. 
Past recipients
President’s Award – Selected by the President to recognize the one on the Board of Governors who has been most helpful to the President.
Past recipients
Above and Beyond Award – Selected by the President to recognize those (can be more than one) who have gone beyond the call of duty to serve the association. 
Past recipients
Pace Setter Award – Selected by the President to recognize one or more who has set the pace by introducing a new program or service, etc. that has moved the association forward. 
Past recipients
Lifetime Achievement Award – Selected by the Board of Governors to recognize the recipient that has exhibited outstanding, creative, innovative and visionary leadership to the growth and advancement of the speakers bureau industry. To be considered for this award, nominees will have displayed career achievements that have brought about significant industry advancement and/or outstanding volunteer service to the advancement and growth of IASB. Note:  No more than one recipient would be selected in any given year and the award does not have to be given each year.
Past recipients 
Community Service Award – Selected by the Awards Committee from nominations received from the membership.  Recognizes member companies for their engagement in their local, regional or global communities. For more information on the nomination process, click here.
